Agile Business Analyst - ImagineX Consulting

Location: United States, Canada
Agile Business Analyst 
ImagineX Consulting is a rapidly growing consulting firm focusing on client business/software solutions. We are seeking a Senior Agile Business Analyst with a focus on the collection and documentation of user stories that drive the design of business systems solutions. A successful candidate must be skilled at writing user stories and documenting in agile tools, in addition to multiple-project experience working on Agile teams.
Key Accountabilities: 
  • Responsible for understanding the business requirements defined by stakeholders, product management and in conjunction with user experience personnel, translating those requirements into clear, unambiguous and concise user stories that are used as the basis for agile software development  
  • Tasks required to fulfill job responsibilities include the ability to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, prioritize, author and manage detailed requirement documents in an Agile environment
  • Analyzes business operations and processes to understand strengths and weaknesses. Supports the identification of opportunities for people, process, and technology improvement
  • Creates workflow diagrams to document current and future business environment as well as functional spec documents to support development needs
  • Reviews agile test plans and scripts for completeness and accuracy
  • Is comfortable being a proxy for the business owners and presenting sprint demo functions
  • Acts as the SME for the product and supports the design of projects that may require integration across multiple technical platforms.

Skills Summary: 

  • CSPO preferred
  • 5-7 years of related business analysis experience
  • 3+ years of experience in working with teams in Agile Software Development
  • Possesses familiarity with multiple technologies, business analysis tools, development methods and systems, and relevant programming language.
  • Possesses deep understanding of agile software development methodologies
  • Skills @ writing user stories in an ALM tool such as Jira, VersionOne, Rally
  • Understands complex business processes and is able to document them in a logical and comprehensible manner
  • Must be very comfortable with two week sprints and two week release windows 
  • Must understand how to deliver on requirements in a fast pace working environment
**Ability to travel as needed a plus (+)
